Its been eight years since the Halo franchise was first introduced to gamers and our world was changed forever. Over this period of time we've seen Bungie Studios create three installments of this first person shooter with sales in the millions and branding Halo as a part of mainstream culture. Though there is another hobby thats almost as popular.....Bungie bashing. Everywhere you turn you get a dose of it whether its on websites, forums, or in- game voice communication you just cant seem to get away from it. Its funny to me that people will never be able to accept that they will never play another Halo: CE and you really cant blame Bungie for that. In fact less than 10% of their current staff was present for the development of Halo: CE. The blame should be placed on the current generation of gamers who forced Bungie to deviate from making great games and focus on others issues with the game such as cheating, matchmaking and rankings, the development of new maps, and other multiplayer tweeks and updates all being made to please the loyal Halo fan. There's no way you can please everyone thats for sure, but the staggering amount of people with pure hatred for this developer amazes me everyday. Im not saying that Bungie has no flaws and that they'll ever be as creative as they once were, im just saying give them a break and try to appreciate the great things about this studio and its games and not the Bungie of the past.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

Although I really liked the first Halo, and I've enjoyed the other Halo games as well, I can't help but wonder what Halo would be like if MS didn't get involved. I remember spending 7 hours on a dial up connection, downloading about 100mb of Halo trailer, and then it looked like a completely different game. Maybe that's why some people don't like Bungie as much anymore. I like Bungie. But I think I would like them more if they had made Halo as it was in their original vision.
You both are definitely right. I still love Bungie, though I really wish all of the games could've lived up to their full potential.
I love Bungie a lot. Halo 1-3 and CE are some of my favorite FPS's of all time. Halo CE has its custom modded 1337 sniper maps. Halo 3 with it's super sexy water effects, not to mention the series awesome storyline! I really hope they could somehow continue the series.
